Mainstream or Indie

GSoles! I have risen from a very very long "out-of-the-scene" era. I would like to apologise for being too busy(busy doing nothing?) >_<

Anyways, my sparetime was spent mostly on outdoor ativities. It was one of the most life-fulfilling events of my life. Now that I am back to school (Hooray for me!) I coudn't do much of my climbing activities (boohoo -_- ).

To help me move on from this melodramatic shift in my life I had to listen to music. Mostly, I listen to reggae and also some punk bands. But the best part of all.. indie music (love. love. love). I really want to break away from mainstream. I believe that most of what we hear today are not free music. The sound we hear are limited, restrained and most have repeated messages (all saying the same thoughts). I guess most indie songs/songwriters expresses new ideas that are not limited to what people want to hear, but these songs are made to say things that some people try to avoid, or are scared to admitt. True music indeed not for greed of money nor fame. It is the real voice (real talents!)

Guess what?
I have a new classmate who also is a fan of indie music. How cool is that? and to double the fun, I am supporting an Indie band here in Davao city. I have been baptized as their official "videographer" *coughs* ahem!

I think this would be a big challenge for me since I am a beginner, an indie artist myself. This would probably be my first collab/work with other people (you know me! I don't usually interact with people). It's like building my strongest shell and later cracking it myself. But for the love of music and art, I am willing to crack that shell of doubts and fears.

I hope sooner we can shoot our first music video. Check them out! I will post the link here anyways. ^_^
